The growth of PC (Personal Computer) keeps rapid increasing in SL since last decade. Among professionals,students,and whomever it benefits. also there is one kind who use it unwisely, Of course they must be kids or under-age ones. Looking closely,anyone can imagine that their sole purpose of getting a PC to home by their parents is just to play games,watch movies, play audio and ultimatly share what they have.One can argue that "what the big deal with it, that is how they enter into mainstram". well, it is quite right at first glance but what does a kid gain to his life from it.Only entertainments ?. Now the worst case is addiction to the PC. Killing their precious time which is to learn or study, play in outside with friends (Nah ! Games), help to homies and experience the world.
In real senario, very handful of kids who use it wisely by some programming, designing, editing or at least learing someting new. Please never get me wrong that those never watch movie or games. Yes they also do the same but makes it well balanced. the prime reason that one part does it wisly and other part does not is the guidence of parents or elders. there must be someone elder who watch their back unless no one can help them to identify what is to do and what is not to do with it. In SL PC is still luxurious.Even avarage paid person is not able to afford a brand new one at one shot. kids in the first place tend to push thire parents to bring a PC to home highlighting that they have plenty of educational stuff to do with it and parents can not believe it bad.However parents got to do it by a loan or spending hard earned money on it. And due to their lack of knowleadge, place the PC inside kid's room and allow kid to do whatever they want. at last not least, PC is something for better or worse.
